Lastly this week, Olympus is promoting the new Pen, which is a modern day version of the original 1959 camera. To do so, they have created a site featuring a stop motion video compiled of 9600 photos. The video takes us on a photographic journey of one man from childhood to old age, paired with a feel good tune. Overall greatly executed with a nostalgic touch!

Livestrong + Nike create ‘chalkbot’
The Tour de France is happening right now. But did you know Nike and Livestrong helped create something called the Chalkbot that writes words of hope, inspiration and encouragement in chalk all along the tour road? Watch the video to learn about how the Chalkbot came into conception. Users can text in their message or a personal story to be chalked and will be notified when Chalkbot has written it. What a great use of robotics technology to bring awareness to the fight against cancer!
Toyota invents iQ typeface
Something really interesting that Toyota has done for the launch of the iQ is coming up with a typeface generated by the tire marks of an iQ itself. Toyota asked some font designers and interactive designers to get together and create a new typeface and then to track the car’s movements in a similar pattern. Watch the video to see how it all came together. Pretty neat! The font is available for download here.
