Foursquare is on the rise says Mashable

In the social world, Mashable CEO Pete Cashmore recently did an opinion piece for CNN- Foursquare as the next Twitter sensation for 2010. You’ve probably been hearing about Foursquare, but what is it exactly? It is best described as a geo-based virtual game where users can earn badges (points) by ‘checking-in’ when you arrive at any great shop/eatery/bar that you are at. The person with the most points at a given venue, becomes the ‘mayor’. Mayors receive free perks- from food, tickets to hotels. Foursquare can help you discover hidden gems that your friends have found or serve as a meet up tool. Look out!

Converse site

Converse has launched their new site. First, great design and layout to match the style of the locally based shoe company. It’s all in the aesthetic details. Secondly, notice the tabs Buy, Make, Play- nicely organized to direct your site experience. The e-commerce part of the site folds nicely into the site itself, offering a seamless brand experience. May have to add another pair to my collection!

Buy. Make. Play.

Tide Stain Brain iPhone app

You are probably thinking- great another iPhone app! However, the Tide Stain Brain proves to be useful and relevant to consumers. Frustrated stain victims unite as they swap removal solutions. Maybe the reason why public response has been favorable is because misery loves company?
