‘The people have Tweeted.’ That’s the headline for the latest Trident ad that ran in today’s issue of USA Today. The full page color ad featured real tweets from people who have tried the new Layers gum. The brand even used Twitter to gain approvals for tweet usage. I think this is a fresh idea of how digital can influence other traditional channels- something to keep in mind for your own clients/ agency partners…

(RED) + Nike = #laceupsavelives
This past Tuesday Dec. 1st was World AIDS Day, so I thought I’d share the ‘Lace Up Save Lives’ project from Nike + (RED). 100% of proceeds from these red shoelaces go towards the Global Fund and soccer-based programs that help fight AIDS in Africa. Twitter played a huge role on Tuesday to create awareness for RED- as all tweets with hashtag #red and #laceupsavelives were turned to a red color on screens all over the world. Using social media to spread the word for social good. Nice job.
